In this paper, the smart farm system using multiprotocol to achieve the network performances of the agriculture monitoring requirement is proposed. The proposed system uses LoRaWAN and IEEE 802.11ac as a network protocol. Accordingly, the system can adjust a protocol based on the type of data. LoRaWAN protocol has a responsibility to send sensor reading data which only have small amounts size of data. As the IEEE 802.11ac has higher data rate than LoRaWAN, it can send video data. A hybrid mode, which combines advantages of both protocols, leads the system to achieve reliability and save much energy while performing the monitoring task. Moreover, the system can detect the faulty node condition. The system has been evaluated for the real deployment scenario. The result demonstrates that proposed system has better reliability and consume less energy than the existing works.
