This paper proposes a tactical routing scheme that minimizes power consumption for large-scale Industrial Internet of Things (IIOT). Minimizing energy consumption and real-time routing has become a very tedious and near impossible job owing to the larger-scale and complex deployment nature of IIOT today. In order to improve scalability of IIOT elements, a hierarchical system framework is employed. The proposed algorithm arranges similar devices of the system into chains called clusters, managed by a cluster head. The simulation results indicates that this algorithm can reduce energy consumption in IIoT elements.
