This paper proposes VUH, a Hybrid network comprising of visible light communication (VLC) and UWB (Ultra-wide band) with the aim of reducing acknowledgement/feedback process and time, yet maintaining other desirable properties. To achieve these, VUH network utilizes VLC for down-link only and UWB for up-link and down-link. Employing this configuration, packets are sent using both down-link and acknowledgement is sent through the UWB up-link feature. The component networks making up VUH were adopted because of their energy efficiency. VLC perform illumination and communication simultaneously at little extra energy. UWB on the other hand operates between 57 - 71 GHz and is a low power network technology that, utilizing about 1mW for signal transmission. This paper considered the channel model, transmission model, Warehouse Geometry and algorithm process to minimize security threat and acknowledgment delay. The simulation in this work shows the properties of this hybrid network. The capacity of VUH network technologies to achieve high data rate, with minimal energy consumption and secure connection , within a logistics center environment.
