Abstract

DDS, a middleware with high scalability, applies network middleware to weapon open system architecture. The scalability of DDS is provided through the preceding discovery process. As the number of participants increases, network configuration requires a high level of network, memory and computing resources, In particular, DDS with enhanced security function increases the load caused by the discovery process by exchanging authentication-related information. In order to solve this problem, this paper proposes PFDP. PFDP reduces the burden of discovery protocol through pre-authentication and lightweight secure handshake. The network traffic model analysis and simulation results shows that PFDP improves the network performance compared to SSDP.
