In this paper, a new zone radius determination algorithm is proposed for an insect-inspired routing protocol that emulates the foraging behavior of bees based on their ability to find an optimal route from nectar sites. The IZRP changes the radius of nodes one-hop by one-hop. However the proposed algorithm alter radius of nodes as gap of another radius and adapt quickly to network conditions. The simulation results show that preposed algorithm has higher efficient compared with existing studies in an aspect of computational complexity and end-to-end delay.
