This paper investigates message queue (rate and time consuming) performance on AMPQ and MQTT protocol over wired network. AMQP is an open standard for enterprise messaging, designed to support messaging for distributed system. MQTT is a lightweight machine-to-machine messaging protocol, and it has a clear focus on the wired area. Information exchange procedure of these protocol are resource-efficient, and it does not specify a particular data format for application. For analysis, these protocol are implemented using Rabbitmq and Activemq on two computer servers respectively. Simulation results show comparison of protocols which is AMPQ better than MQTT in term of number message delivered.
