This paper proposes the approach to track the unlocalized node in wireless sensor network (WSNs). Initially, the received signal strength indicator (RSSI) was employed to estimate the distance between the nodes. Although there are other range-based techniques for localization, RSSI was preferred due to its low cost.  However, it has possible drawback affected by environment which causes it inaccurate. At this end, a new style relaxed to the localization in the  dynamic environment was adapted. Named received signal strength difference (RSSD), it is interpreted as the different value of the RSSIs between two neighbor sampling steps. It is used by sensor nodes to estimate by collecting all possible information in a given area where the unlocalized zone is situated. For ensuring the accurate localization, the intended area is minutely tracked in order to find the absolute value of received signal difference with the previous step. The simulation result shows that RSSD outperforms RSSI.
