This paper proposes a scheme to detect middleware errors in Smart DDS (Data Distribution Service) in a NCS (naval combat system). NCS includes various devices such as monitoring tool, search radar based-on Smart DDS. Because of this construct, it is unable to handle rapidly problems communicating when they occur in wartime situation. To handle quickly the problems, this study can detect the problems in real-time using interface of Smart DDS layers. Previous detection schemes are unsuitable on urgent wartime situation because they has several unnecessary requests. In this paper, proposed scheme detects rapidly problems using the Smart DDS layers interface. Simulation results show that proposed scheme reduces the latency for detecting problems compared with existing debugging tools, and it is expected to improve the recovery performance of NCS.
